Hey Reader!

I was chatting with a friend back home who mentioned how incredibly icy everything was at her farm!

I don't know if my social media feeds were listening 😉 (I know they easily could be and, no, that's not simply paranoia!)

...but I was fed a reel, the headline of which was "Chores at Every Farm in Alberta Right Now!"

...and it was what I believe legitimately was a person skating around on their driveway and through the paths wheeling a wheelbarrow of hay, feed, and other animal essentials (...and I really don't think it was AI; it looked very real!)

It made me think about the last appointment I had before leaving; we had to get there quickly but the roads were icy!

ALL the proverbs went running through my head... Slower is Faster! Haste Makes Waste!

One hasty move on that road could have put us in the ditch and cost us a lot ...A LOT!... of time! 🙈

It made me think of the relationship while training horses too. 🐴

Slow and steady progress is so much better than trying to rush the learning. When you try to rush a horse's learning you usually have to go back and repeat it a few times more than you would have if you'd taken it slow.

Hmm... 🤔 Come to think of it, that also goes for teaching kids how to do things! (So many parallels between horses and real life!)

So today's email is more of a PSA I thought I should send early, especially if you live in an area that's been icy.

Don't rush something that's worth doing well and be careful out there if you're leading horses on an icy surface! (I know someone who had a horse slip and fall on top of them when it was icy! Things, as you can well imagine, didn't go well!)

How is it in your area? Are you in the sun or snow? Let me know!

If ever you want to chat about that or anything, just reply to this email and let me know!

Until I hear from you, stay well and take care...
