Hey Reader!

There's been a lot of concern in the news over the past few months, about the reality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) taking over the jobs of real people.

In some cases, AI is just more capable and more efficient at some tasks ...mostly those that involve crunching serious amounts of data.

...but not all jobs are going to do well being taken over by AI.

I was reading a news article by CTV News in January (while I was doing all my running around!), titled "These are the most in-demand jobs in Canada for 2026". I was actually delighted by what I read!

In the article it was stated about the jobs, by recruiting company representative Nancy D’Onofrio, Randstad’s director of strategic accounts,

“They’re actually frontline operational roles, a lot of them. And they’re really focused on human connection and front-facing relationship building.”

Connection and relationship-building is literally what working with horses is all about!

If you look at just the top three jobs:

  1. Sales associate
  2. Administrative assistant
  3. Customer service representative

...you know they require people connections and relationship-building!

Working with horses would only help to hone those skills or any job that requires connection and relationship-building skills!

So if you're looking for a job and want your work with horses to count for something, look for jobs where people skills are an important part of the requirement.

Then you can spend every weekend with horses to hone those skills 😉
