Hey Reader! I saw that today, in social media circles, is #ActorsDay! As soon as I saw that, it reminded me of a true story! Many years ago we were interviewing an actor for our Equinely-Inclined! audio podcast. He was an actor in a series with a lot of horse action in it. We asked him to tell us how he got the part of his character. He told us a little of the story. We asked if he'd had any horse experience prior to acting in this series. "Nope.", was the prompt reply! 🙂↔️ We were surprised he could get a role where he would be working around horses so much, when he had no experience. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ We pressed on. 🎤 "Did they ask you about your horse experience in the interview?" "Yup.", was his immediate response! 💁🏼♂️ "Um, you told them you had experience with horses, didn't you?" 😏 "Yup." 🙂↕️ "I mean, how hard could it be to ride a horse?" 🤷🏼♂️ us->😂🤣😅<-us Hi did admit that it was a lot harder than he thought! ...but he was determined to get the role! 💪 I have to say there is something about faking it 'til you make it, but when it comes to working with horses the risks are real and high! If you know someone who needs to be well-versed in horses quickly and painlessly, put them in touch with me! 🤠 Maybe I can give them a head start so they won't have to be such a big liar! 🤦🏻♀️ Well, I hope your week is starting out well. Personally, I had too many distractions to get to work with horses today 😕 Hoping tomorrow will be better! ...until I hear from you, stay well and take care...
